We are a small team of volunteers who compassionately find loving homes for homeless, neglected and abused animals. We work diligently to facilitate the foster and adoption of mostly shih-tzus and other small non-shedding breeds.

Our Dogs

WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 4 HOUR RADIUS OF LOUISVILLE/LEXINGTON KENTUCKY and TENNESSEE AREAS.

WE WANT TO HAVE ACCESS TO DOGS IF NEEDED.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heart worm tested, wormed, micro-chipped and will have had 1 month of heart worm preventative, and 1 month of flea preventative before adoption.

Meet Sprout!

Calling our Yorkie fans ! Look who is now in our rescue

Sprout is a yorkie mix who loves all people. He is three years old and weighs ten pounds. Sprout is very smart and learns new commands easily. He loves nothing more than to be with his people and will follow them wherever they go. He loves to play fetch and tug of war and has a special love for squeaky toys. Sprout loves to hike and ride in the car and has excellent recall. He is housebroken and is able to be left alone and loose in the house when his people are away. He will use a puppy pad if he is unable to get outside. Sprout is allergic to all foods except for six foods. He is on a special dog food and takes allergy meds as needed. He also has three vertebrae that are close together and sometimes cause him pain. He has muscle relaxers and pain meds that he takes as needed. His symptoms are easily controlled at this point. Sprout currently lives w three cats and one other small dog. He loves to play with one of the cats and the dog. Two of the cats don’t like him and he ignores them. Sprout needs to find a new home due to a family member that is allergic to dogs. He is a sweet and gentle dog who would do best in a calm home with no kids or older kids.

Tootsie

Meet Tootsie!

Tootsie is 1.5‑year‑old, 12‑lb girl (already spay) is full of personality, playfulness, and charm — the perfect mix of high‑energy fun and daytime chill.

* Playful energy — Loves long walks, all toys, chews sticks, wiggling with excitement, and relaxing while you work. Note: Slightly dominant.

* Routine — Sleeps in small crate (while adjusting), food‑motivated, house trained potty schedule (ideally no more than 3-4 hrs alone).

* Select Dog / Kid‑friendly — No other or small, passive dogs only (scared of large dogs); kids 6+ ideal.

* Fully vetted — Records available; jaw injury fully healed and paw nail finishing recovery.

In a loving foster home in Louisville (meet ups available now).

Jasper

Meet Jasper!

Meet Jasper!! He came to us as a stray. Jasper is 1-2 years old miniature Poodle or Poodle mix, weighing 10lbs. He has an amazing personality, gentle, playful and loving. He is a happy boy that is playful and rambunctious!! He loves to play fetch nonstop. Jasper is a little timid but loves his person. He gets along with other dogs and is curious about cats. He is working on house training; we are using a belly band when in house. A fenced in yard would be best for him since he ended up at a stray. Jasper would do best in a home that someone is home more than not, he enjoys being with his people and other dogs.

Roxy & Delilah - BONDED PAIR

Meet Roxy & Delilah!

Roxy (aka Little Bit), the brown pup-12lb est. and Delilah, the white-and-gray-15lbs est. beauty, are two sweet girls learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. They both are seniors estimating 12 years old. They were surrendered to the rescue by their owner. He made the most unselfish decision of his life. He is ill, doesn’t know how much time he has left and was so worried about his girls, that they would not get the love and care they have been given.

Roxy is the more outgoing of the pair and is curious about meeting new people, though she still takes a little time to feel comfortable. Delilah is the more cautious sister, preferring to hang back and observe before deciding you’re trustworthy.

They’ve only been in foster care for 5 days, but every day brings new progress. Both girls get along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and have settled in beautifully with their furry foster siblings. While they’re still learning to trust their human companions, it’s clear they crave affection and want so badly to be loved. Both girls are house trained.

These sweet souls have been through a lot of changes recently, and we’re taking things at their pace. With patience, kindness, and a little time, they’re blossoming more each day. Watching their personalities emerge has been incredibly rewarding, and we can’t wait to see them continue to gain confidence.

If you’re looking for two gentle hearts who just need a little reassurance and a lot of love, Roxy and Delilah might be the perfect match.
